"Booty Island"

BOOTY ISLAND is a pirate board game where the goal is to reach “Booty Island” at the center of the map. In order to get there, the player must open the Island’s gates with three keys.

--Deploy your crew on surrounding islands.
--Collect treasure and keys your crew may dig up.
--BEWARE! Enemy players can attack your crew at each island.
--Purchase new equipment and hire new crew members. 
--The first player to reach the center island with all three keys wins.

"King of the Hill"

KING OF THE HILL is a territory control card game where two players vye for control of 7 different “hills”.
 
--Three types of forces correspond to three different hill terrains. 
--Infantry-Jungle,  Cavalry-Mountains, Armor-Desert. 
--Make your force score equal to 7 on a hill to control it. 
--The first player to control 4 hills wins.

"Consume"

CONSUME is a fast paced food chain card game for two players. It is a race to control all four biomes with your animals.
 
--Each player creates two stacks or “biomes”. 
--“Consume” the topmost enemy card with one of your own to control the biome. 
--The first player to control all four biomes at the same time wins.

"Retaliation"

RETALIATION is a fast paced card game meant to emulate a sword fight between two people.

--Each player starts out with three armor cards.
--Attack, block, dodge, counter and parry to hit the other player. 
--Land a successful hit without being blocked to make the enemy player to discard one of their armor cards. 
--Make your opponent discard all three armor cards to win.

    You play as Tal Brusch, a sensitive guy with an exposed brain. When on an ocean joy ride with some friends, his crush, Chelsa Grimmley fell into the water. Tal quickly donned a diver's suit and jumped in to rescue her. The goal of the game is to ward off the hungry sea monsters with harpoons without hitting Chelsa yourself. 
    At the 25th PIGSquad Game Jam, we had to make a game based on a keyword we were given on a slip of paper. Mine was the word “Havoc.” 
I decided to make “havoc” the player experience goal (PEG) for this game. I envisioned clenched muscles and grinding teeth as havoc is wreaked upon the player’s nerves. I then came up with the high-level concept of “damage prevention” to fit this PEG, then I draped the structure in an underwater harpooning theme to make it interesting.
